On Saturday morning, August 19th the Wellness Institute of Greater Buffalo and its many partners will be hosting an interactive panel discussion and community dialogue on how to improve community health through the built environment. We'll look at local health disparities, how street design and architecture can impact health behaviors, and see what the City of Buffalo is doing to address improving our built environment!
This free event will be hosted by the new Hotel Henry. Doors will open at 8:30AM and the interactive panel will run from 9AM-11AM. Refreshments will be provided. And all attendees will receive a copy of the Wellness Institute's new Healthy Neighborhoods walkability assessment toolkit! After the panel, we will offer a 30-minute walk around the grounds of the historic H.H. Richardson Complex.
Though the event is free, we ask attendeed register on EventBrite first, as space is limited. Hope to see you there!
